An award-winning playwright (most recently for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize) Julia Cho's DURANGO tells the tale of a family road trip, of lost dreams, and passed on ambitions.

A poignant and heart-wrenching play, it follows in the tradition of American domestic dramas such as DEATH OF A SALESMAN and CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, slowly and subtly sharing information with its audience.

As the point of our Script Smashes is to explore possible work to produce in the future, we were thrilled to share this wonderful piece of contemporary American writing with our audience.
